We were looking for a wharf location to enjoy the beautiful sunset and a relaxed evening. It was our friend Maggie’s birthday, and she was turning 65. Mary had only seen the gulf for the first time this week. She was spending her vacation in Florida and gettinga feel forthe Florida beaches. We wanted the perfect evening for her and the Marina Bar and Grill staff ensured it was a success.
The ambiance of this friendly local bar with a great view of the ocean and sunset was real. It was the best pub experience any of us had ever had. The staff was really friendly and accommodating. We met many local regulars and guests in the marina and they all wished Maggie a happy birthday. We shared a lot of laughs and this was only the beginning to the beautiful evening ahead.
Fast-forward to our meals, we were served the best chicken wings any of us had ever tasted and prime rib to go with it. They were also great. Some of Maggie’s friends had blackened fish tacos and chicken quesadillas. We also treated ourselves to the grill’s daily catch and the Grouper sandwich. The nachos tasted really good too and were enough for 3. During the happy hour, we all tried the Leaky Tiki and enjoyed it.
To our surprise, and Maggie’s too, a delicious slice of Key Lime pie was served on our table for us to share in honor of Maggie’s birthday. It was such a kind and thoughtful gesture. Maggie was awed!
We joined the boaters and had fun together. Football lovers will definitely love it here, as there’s also a sports bar with seats indoors and outdoors. You’ll enjoy a view of the scenic Sandestin marina while watching football matches and enjoy some great football specials. The patio offers a pleasant and relaxing view of cabin cruisers and fishing boats. It’s a hub of activity and there’s never a dull moment with so much for everyone to do.
We all had a wonderful evening. The food was wonderful and the customer service was great. The staff was friendly and attentive. We sat outside to watch the sun set overthe bay while we were entertained bylive music. There were also a couple of parrots outside, talking to people right on the dock. It was really a nice place to eat and relax with friends.
